Fuel filter location on 99 Chevy Suburan
Q: where is 1999 Suburban fuel filter & fuel pump located?

A: Your 1999 Chevrolet Suburban is equipped with an electric fuel pump, which is part of a module assembly located in the fuel tank. The fuel tank needs to be pulled to gain access. The fuel filter is external and is located along the inside part of the driver's side frame rail.

Starter makes clicking and spinning sound
Q: Whn I try to start my '95 Dodge Dakota there is a clicking and spinning sound. There is power to the vehicle, so it appears that it's not the battery. It will eventually start. Could it be the starter going out?

A: I would agree with your diagnosis. Yes, it sounds like an intermittent starter motor. When replacing, please check the ring gear for any worn teeth.

GMC Sierra leaking coolant near back of engine
Q: MY 1996 GMC SIERRA IS LEAKING COOLANT NEAR THE BACK OF THE ENGINE I CANNOT FIND THE LEAK. I WAS TOLD IT COULD BE THE COOLANT HEATER TUBE. WHAT IS THAT?

A: You are referring to the heater hose quick disconnect fitting on the passenger side, rear of engine on the intake manifold. Yes this is a good possibility of coolant leakage. Another likely possibility is the intake manifold gasket(s). If you cannot find and/or determine the coolant leak, try a local pro. Surely it would not take long to determine the problem.

Fuel system reset on Pontiac Grand AM?
Q: WHERE IS THE FUEL SYSTEM RESET SWITCH ON A 2002 PONTIAC GRAND AM, 2.2 ENGINE

A: This vehicle does not have a "fuel reset switch". If your vehicle is in a crank, no start situation, it will require fuel and ignition system diagnosis to determine repairs.

Fuel pump replacement on Z71
Q: i need to replace my fuel pump in my 1994 chevy z71 v8 350 my question is the fuel pump located in the tank and if so do i need to replace the tank with the fuel pump or just the fuel pump?

A: The fuel pump on your 1994 Chevrolet Z71 is located in the fuel tank. It comes as a module assembly which includes the fuel sender. The fuel tank needs to be removed to gain access to module replacement. And no, the fuel tank does not need to be replace, but I suggest replacement of the fuel filter.
